Eva has been involved in FPBC since 2011. Since then she has played many roles and worked very hard for the organization and the families she has served.
Brooke started as the case manager of Family Promise in March 2017. Brooke loves working with families and kids to help them overcome obstacles as well as thrive in their environment. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development from Lee University and Masters of Social Work from Southern Adventist University. Brooke and her husband have an adorable 1 ½ year old daughter. The couple have worked in youth ministry for the last 3 years.
Elizabeth was born and raised in Newport, Vermont and moved to Cleveland to attend Lee University. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Music, she moved to Orlando to work at Walt Disney World. She is married to Justin McElhaney. She has been working at Family Promise since January 2017 and oversees providing support programs for our families after they’ve graduated the program.
Caitlin is a recent graduate from Middle Tennessee State University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in English. This is her first year working with a nonprofit and she’s excited to start this new journey with Family Promise. Her year of service began February 2017.
Mark Lay is currently serving as President of our Family Promise Board. Mark has served for many years before taking on this leadership position. He is a certified CPA and Partner of 30 years with Arnett, Kirksey, Kimsey, Sullivan, Lay & Hall, PLLC. He is married to Jenann Lay and attends First United Methodist Church which is one of our Host Churches.
Alan Goslen is currently serving on our Family Promise Board as a Board Member. He joined Family Promise of Bradley County in 2012. He is a member of the Coordinator team at Broad Street United Methodist Church. He also volunteers at our Day Center as a Sunday Office angel and helps with occasionally driving our families.
Jake Derrick is currently serving on our Family Promise Board as our Treasurer. He joined Family Promise of Bradley County in 2015. Originally from Etowah, TN, Jake received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Tennessee Wesleyan College and moved to Cleveland, TN where he now works for Life Care Centers of America as a Staff Accountant. He recently got married to his wife, Jessica, earlier this year!
Cindy Lawson was elected Secretary in February 2017 but she originally served as the first Americorp VISTA for Family Promise in 2014-2015. She fell in love with the program, its mission and stayed involved after her term volunteering which led her to serve on the board! She’s currently the Human Resource Coordinator and Americorp VISTA Supervisor at United Way. She has married to Bert Lawson for 24 years and they have two sons, Elijah and Cody.
John Ellerbe is currently serving on our Family Promise Board as one of our Board Members. He joined Family Promise of Bradley County in 2014. He grew up outside of Hastings, MN where he worked on a farm and also as a Pipe Organ Tuner for the Minnesota representative of the M.P. Moller Organ Company. John is a member of the Navy as a Naval Aviator and will retire this year after 34 years of service.
Dr. Jay McCluskey is currently serving on our Family Promise Board as one of our Board Members. He joined Family Promise of Bradley County in 2011 and his church hosted our very first week! Originally from Knoxville, TN, Dr. McCluskey received his Master’s of Divinity Degree and Doctor of Ministry Degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He came to Cleveland as pastor of North Cleveland Baptist Church in September of 1986, where he is still the pastor today.
Kellie Bracken has been serving as a Board Member for many years at Family Promise of Bradley County. She perviously served at the Johnson City Family Promise before her move to Cleveland four years ago. She is married to Reverand Tim Bracken of First United Methodist and they have two children together. She is very active in church with leading bible studies as well as being active to promote mission and service within the community.
