Family Promise is a unique organization that fills a very specific role in our community. We partner with churches located in the Cleveland City, Bradley County area. Churches fulfill the evening and overnight portion of a 24 hour shelter, while back at the Day Center, the director and staff work hard for our families connecting them to resources, jobs, and housing. It is our goal that our families are safe, have enough to eat, and a roof over their heads while in our program. In the video, this young man has a very unique perspective. Thank you to Family Promise of Grand Rapids for sharing.
Family Promise in Bradley County started as an idea. A group of individuals coming together with the sole purpose of making a direct impact on their community. Since that meeting in 2009, great strides have been made to provide help to families going through homeless transitions.
FPBC is working diligently in the Cleveland City / Bradley County Community to make connections with families in need, volunteers, host churches, and other community agencies. We strive to provide holistic tools and resources to help families transition out of homelessness and into stable housing.
Research tells us that for children to grow up to be happy, productive adults they must achieve developmental milestones in their early years of life. Family Promise recognizes the importance of providing opportunities for children to grow and learn in safe environments.
