Job Objective: To manage day-to-day operation of the Family Promise program; intake screening, comprehensive case management, assessments/referral, housing assistance and group work, program development and implementation.
Comprehensive Case Management
Communication relating to guests, volunteers, coordinators and drivers.
Attends community meetings related to clients and housing in the community.
Keeps accurate and up-to-date case files, collects all needed data for reporting.
Education and Exeperience:
A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work
One year of experience working with the homeless population is preferred.
Counseling skills: ability and experience in counseling clients in a social service setting.
Communication skills, oral and written: ability to make presentations to large groups; ability to organize and participate in writing grant applications
Planning and organizational skills: ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; flexibility and strong problem-solving skills are critical
Interpersonal skills: ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people; ability to be a team player
Leadership skills: ability to make decisions, solve problems, delegate tasks and responsibilities
Networking skills to maintain and increase knowledge of local government and social service programs desired
Computer skills: proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Microsoft Office products.
